Dr. Huang deeply understand the needs of local community and that of the people lives in the community. She has established the Geauga Seidman Cancer Center Patient Support Fund aiming to support patient who is in need to get through the journal of cancer treatment. To date, many patients who comes to Geauga Medical Center for care has benefit tremendously from this fund. Dr. Huang is a recipient of Patients’ Choice Award by Vitals.com. Patients' Choice recognition reflects the difference a particular physician has made in the lives of his/her patients. The honor is bestowed to physicians who have received near perfect scores, as voted by patients. Dr. Huang is also a recipient of “American Best Physician” award and “Top Oncologist” in 2020.

Tammy attained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain College, and received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Ursuline College. Tammy also earned a Patient Navigation Certification from the Harold P. Freeman Patient Navigation Institute. She was awarded the 2015 RN Clinical Excellence Award by University Hospitals, and was Nurse of the Year in 2017. Tammy and her work also have been recognized in various publications, including a News Herald article titled “Survivor now assists those battling disease”, and a feature piece in Mimi Vanderhaven titled “Survivor!”
